This issue is now resolved. We recently introduced a small promotion encouraging users who log in with SMS codes to try using an Authenticator App instead. This appeared for some users starting on September 22, 2025, or after their second SMS-based login. To prevent any confusion during login, we’ve made a few updates: We’ve turned off the Authenticator App promotion for now, we’ve paused any in-app messaging that encouraged switching from SMS to the Authenticator App, and we’re also temporarily rolling back a recent change that increased how often MFA prompts appeared - this will help reduce login interruptions. Thanks for your patience while we worked to get this resolved!
